As a former high school principal in Westbury, New York, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Adelphi University, his Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from New York University and his Professional Certificate degree in Administration and Supervision from Queens College. During his professional career in Education, Administration and Camping, Mr. Kulchin has also served as a teacher, Director of Physical Education, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal. |
![]() Bill Brodsky has served the Shibley Summer Day Camp since 1973. He is a veteran Elementary and Physical Education teacher in the New York City Schools with more than three decades of professional experience. Mr. Brodsky received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ithaca College. In addition, he holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling and a Professional Diploma in School Administration and Supervision from C.W. Post College. His professional world constantly revolves around Shibley campers. Whether it be Fall playdates, Winter activities, or Spring sports, he is always ready to serve Shibley families. |
![]() Bobby Kranz has served the Shibley Summer Day Camp as Sports Director since 1974. He is an Elementary and Physical Education teacher in the New York City Schools with more than thirty-five years of professional experience. Mr. Kranz received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Pace University. In addition he holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Long Island University. Bobby was an "All New York City" basketball star at Tilden High School in Brooklyn, and set basketball scoring records while at Pace University. In 1994, Mr. Kranz was honored by New York City as "Physical Education Teacher of the Year." |
![]() Robert Kulchin has been a part of the Shibley Summer Day Camp his entire life. He grew up at camp and worked many seasons at Shibley while going to school. Robert earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from Adelphi University and his law degree from Hofstra Law School. After many years in the business world, Mr. Kulchin decided to return to day camping full time in 1995. Bob was always a natural in day camping and has exceptional talent working with children and sports. Through his many years at Shibley he has worked as a counselor, sports specialist, swim instructor, group leader and administrator. |
![]() Barbara Kulchin, the wife of our Director, has played a major role in the operation of Shibley Summer Day Camp for over 30 years. She is a gifted Administrator whose knowledge, experience and keen judgment have contributed greatly to the success of our campers. Mrs. Kulchin received her Bachelor of Science degree from Hofstra University and Master of Arts degree from Stony Brook University in the fields of Nursery, Kindergarten and Elementary education. Barbara is responsible for the administration of the camp office, and has been a mainstay at Shibley since 1970. |
