Randi Chase - Assistant Director

Randi Chase joined the Shibley family in 1994 as a specialist at the camp's Sports Complex. The following year Randi was promoted to Group Leader and she hasn't looked back! In Fall 2016, Randi joined the Shibley year-round team as Assistant Director.
Randi received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, where she played on the Varsity Basketball team and served as Student Director of the Cornell Intramural Athletic program. Randi went on to study the field of Sports Management at St. John's University.
Shibley has become a second home for Randi, where her three children spent their summers as campers and counselors. Randi has maintained lasting friendships with her campers and their families, and considers the staff extended family. Spending summers with Shibley campers is not a job to Randi- it is her passion!

Robert Kranz - Administrator Junior Camp

Robert KrantzBobby Kranz has served Shibley Day Camp as Athletic Director since 1976. He is an Elementary and Physical Education teacher with more than 35 years of experience. Bobby currently teaches children from pre-K to 8th grade in the New York City schools. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Pace University. In addition, he holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Long Island University. He was an "All New York City" basketball star at Tilden High School in Brooklyn and set basketball scoring records while at Pace University. In 1994, Bobby was honored by New York City as "Physical Education Teacher of the Year." He consistently brings expertise, innovation and drive to his duties at camp, making him one of the main reasons Shibley is recognized as "the day camping leader in sports education."

Mark Becker - Head Counselor

Mark Becker has been part of the Shibley family since 1994. He has always enjoyed working with parents, staff, and campers. Mark started out as a specialist, became a group leader and is now head counselor in charge of senior camp. Mark has spent 33 years in the New York City public school system as a music teacher, special education teacher, guidance counselor and program chairman. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in education, a Masters of Science degree in guidance and counseling, and an advanced certificate in counseling from Brooklyn College. Mark is involved in all aspects of senior camp, providing assistance and coordinating activities. He is always heard saying " It's got to be fun!"
