We are extremely excited to announce Hayley Burrows as our new Junior Camp Director for Summer 2021. Hayley joined us as a group leader in 2019 and is a natural fit to lead Junior Camp. As you will see below she has great experience in education and camping in addition to being a parent of three. Make sure to congratulate her if you see her at our next event or around town! Here is some more information about Hayley:

Hayley Burrows spent her undergraduate years at Ithaca College and received her Masters in Early Childhood Development from Long Island University. She worked at a sleep away camp in Maine as a cabin counselor, and then transitioned to day camp where she was an office administrator and group leader. Hayley has worked as an early childhood teacher at a daycare and community resource center. She joined Shibley for the summer of 2019 as a Group Leader where she supervised campers, trained and supervised staff and worked closely with parents to make sure her campers’ needs were always satisfied.

A lifelong camper, Hayley has seen firsthand the difference that camp has made in a child’s life. She loves getting to know the children and their families, and working collaboratively to help the child have the best possible experience, build self confidence and create lasting memories.

Hayley lives in Port Washington with her husband and three awesome children. She loves being outdoors, playing games and crafting. She is excited to join the leadership team and help create a summer full of fun, friendships and excitement.
